Now, this might be seen as the continuation of my earlier blog post involving my somewhat informative rant on both Stalinist Architecture and Constructivism. In this series of blog posts, I will just try my best and share Stalinist Architecture that can be found around the world.
The first country that has a sizeable amount of these buildings is the biggest republic in the former Soviet Union, the Russian Soviet Republic. Here are several examples of the buildings built in Stalinist style in the Russian Federation.

Stalinist architecture has seen a form of revival in today's Russia leading to newer Stalinist style buildings popping up in the skyline.

I usually travel through the Internet looking for Polandball comics and I happened to stumble upon this one just a few minutes ago. I found this to be pretty humourous.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in a boring, time-consuming occupation that requires so much brain effort that by the end of the day you feel dead?
Well not to worry! Papers, Please! is a game that exactly shows this by putting you in the position of a border guard in a fictional authoritarian nation of Arstrotzka that is awfully similar to the former Eastern Bloc nations in terms of aesthetic and atmosphere.

As a normal border guard, you get to experience the many joys of dealing with the job such as making sure no one smuggles anything in, no one is a terrorist, no one uses a fake identity and so much more.
Sure... You're male and I believe you...
In conclusion, this is a very must try video game. It's something that's not really shown in the video gaming scene now and something this unique has to be tried.
I just remembered now... Seven days ago, the Second World War started and I forgot to make some sort of for its anniversary. Well that's not ideal... I completely forgot the start of the war and I only remembered it today.
I don't even know why I made this post involving this.. Oh well..

Now, I haven't posted anything over the summer since I have somewhat forgotten about this blog, but here's a random blog post for all of you to enjoy.
If you've ever wanted to play a game that lets you take control of nations and whatnot, try out Europa Universalis IV. It's Paradox Interactive's newest grand strategy game. Now, I suggest you look at the game and see if it's right for you! And if you like this, you might like some of their other game titles such the Hearts of Iron series and the Crusader Kings one.
The game has been out since mid-August as well. So if you like grand strategy games, then I suggest you check this out!
Well today in June 21 on 1941 was the date when Germany under Hitler launched its assault on the Soviet Union. 4 hard years of fighting and this led to the ultimate allied victory against the Third Reich. This was also the start of the Eastern Front or the Great Patriotic War as it's called in the former Soviet Republics.
Anyway, to commemorate the invasion, here's a video relating to the initial operation itself.
